Video DREAM Projekt | ANavS | EUSPA

26.05.2026  LinkedIN

🔵 We’re excited to share a glimpse of the final demonstration of the DREAM project — a key milestone validating advanced precise localization and environment perception systems in real urban conditions 🚍

During the campaign in Dresden, our system was successfully tested onboard an 18-meter articulated bus, demonstrating:
✔️ Robust navigation in GNSS-denied environments using LiDAR and Visual SLAM
✔️ High-accuracy positioning even in challenging scenarios such as tunnels and dense urban routes
✔️ Reliable ADAS functionalities (red light warning, wrong-way driving, obstacle detection, curve speed advisory)

All test scenarios were successfully completed, confirming the maturity, reliability, and readiness for real-world deployment of the DREAM system.

🎥 This video shows highlights from the campaign and the system in action – You can watch the full video here: https://lnkd.in/ejNqJidT

📅 The project will reach its formal closure milestone during the Final Review (FR) meeting with EUSPA on May 27.

📄New DREAM Newsletter Available: Robust Navigation & ADAS in Real-World Operations! ➡️ What happens if GNSS signals are not available – in the middle of a tunnel or in urban traffic?

That is precisely why the EU-funded DREAM project developed a robust combination of precise localization, sensor fusion, and AI-based environmental perception.

In the final demonstration campaign, the system demonstrated:

  • Stable positioning even during GNSS outages
  • Reliable real-time environmental perception
  • Robust ADAS functions such as wrong-way driving detection, red light warning, and obstacle detection

Particularly exciting:
The project results are being directly incorporated into the further development of our ANavS products—from Galileo HAS & OSNMA to AI-based spoofing detection and 3D object recognition.

👉 The new newsletter contains detailed insights into the demonstration campaign, the validated ADAS functions, and the project’s technological advancements.

🚀 Exciting week for the DREAM project! ➡️ We are currently running a live demonstration campaign, testing the DREAM system onboard a bus in real urban conditions. A big thanks to Technische Universität Dresden for their support in making this campaign possible!

🔵 The goal is to assess how our technologies perform in operation, with the system delivering a continuous and stable localization solution while combining GNSS, inertial and perception capabilities to build a reliable understanding of the environment in real time.

🔵 This campaign builds on earlier project results (as shown in the video below ⏬), where we validated our robust localization — even in fully GNSS-denied conditions — together with perception capabilities for detecting and tracking road users (as demonstrated in video below ⏬).

Two videos on dynamic object removal for robust localization |ANavS

15.10.2025  Videos

These two videos demonstrate how the DREAM project uses AI to remove dynamic objects — such as moving vehicles — from LiDAR and camera data. This filtering significantly improves visual odometry and LiDAR-based localization, enabling accurate positioning even in complex, urban, or GNSS-degraded environments.

Video: AI-based removal of dynamic objects
This video shows how the A-ROX system uses AI to remove moving objects from LiDAR data — a key component of robust localization in the event of GNSS failures.

Video: AI-supported dynamic object removal in visual odometry (VIO)
This video compares classic visual odometry with the AI-based method developed in the DREAM project. By removing dynamic image features — e.g., moving vehicles — position estimation becomes more stable and accurate, especially when stationary or in the event of GNSS failures.
