15.10.2025 Videos
These two videos demonstrate how the DREAM project uses AI to remove dynamic objects — such as moving vehicles — from LiDAR and camera data. This filtering significantly improves visual odometry and LiDAR-based localization, enabling accurate positioning even in complex, urban, or GNSS-degraded environments.
Video: AI-based removal of dynamic objects
This video shows how the A-ROX system uses AI to remove moving objects from LiDAR data — a key component of robust localization in the event of GNSS failures.
Video: AI-supported dynamic object removal in visual odometry (VIO)
This video compares classic visual odometry with the AI-based method developed in the DREAM project. By removing dynamic image features — e.g., moving vehicles — position estimation becomes more stable and accurate, especially when stationary or in the event of GNSS failures.
15.10.2025 Newsletter and LinkdIN:
The DREAM project is in its final development phase. The next milestone, the Test Readiness Review (TRR) on November 6, is intended to confirm that the software, hardware, and AI-based algorithms are ready for extensive system testing under real-world conditions.
